“No he won’t go, no no, he won’t go” – Renee’s original song
Dr. Ramoray Gets the Shaft!
And below we have the movie posters for Coming Home and The Deer Hunter, of which we have seen neither, so, please don’t ask us about them.
Now that Ross and Rachel are official, Ross is over at the girls’ apartment and it’s a real Entertainment Tonight vs. Predators of the Serengeti situation. J Man is officially moved out of Channy’s, and has decorated his new place with all the finest porcelain one man could buy. Chandler gets a new roommate, Eddie, and Smelly Cat gets a music video!
I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news. The good news is, look how ethereal Olivia Newton John looks in that Xanadu poster above! The bad news is, I’m pretty sure Amazing Discoveries is some kind of cult now. Ok maybe not a cult, but the website has a scrolling gallery of links to donate to their “ministry” and absolutely no immediately available information on what they actually are or do. So…. I think the Amazing Discoveries we know and love is not around. Sorry team!
More good news though (for people who live in or near Chicago). My Pi Pizza is still delicious! The only deep dish I can recommend. Tell them Ashley sent ya (just kidding, don’t do that, they have no idea who I am). https://www.mypiepizza.com/
Eat Us, We're Done!
Welcome to this season’s two-parter, Episodes 12 and 13, The One After the Superbowl. We’ve got sports, we’ve got cameos, we’ve got animals (ugh Marcelllllll is back), so let’s get into it!
So first thing’s first – we learned that Friends is leaving Netflix (US) in 2020, so here is a link to buy the complete box set on DVD from Best Buy! (also available in Canada and Mexico, just find your local link).
Since it is currently 2019, you might not want to buy DVDs. You can buy seasons on iTunes ($20 each).
No word on when Friends might leave TVNZ streaming service, so… maybe everyone move to New Zealand? You can get your All Birds here too, win win!
Introducing - the celeb cameos:
Fred Willard and Dan Castellaneta were the two zoo employees. I didn’t bother finding pictures sorry, let us know if you really want their pics.
And since we know you’ve been waiting for it, here’s Outbreak 2: The Virus (not Monkey, sorry) Takes Manhattan.
Now You've Seen Everything!
In this episode Carol & Susan get married, which Newt Gingrich and Ross have a real attitude problem about. Monica’s on board because she gets to cater it! Phoebe has the spirit of an old lady living inside her, which is like, been there amiright?! Joey debuts on DOOL! And Rachel’s mom drops quite a bomb on her. Tune in to hear it all!
Sooooooooo Ashley was right!! (Ok technically Ben was right, but we’re a team). Technically Renee is right too… the others are replicas of the original. There are SEVEN Statues of Liberty around the world! They are in Norway, Denmark, Massachusetts, Las Vegas, Birmingham, Brazil, and 3 in Paris!
Russ, Ross – Ross, Russ. It’s David Schwimmer vs. David Schwimmer on who can, uh, guh, cheayh…. take the longest to get, like, a sentence out? We see Fun Bobby get sober and significantly less fun, and we hear about DOOL for the first time!
Did you know it was just Ross with some great prosthetics? Many fans weren’t sure, and he even credited “Snaro” as the actor to keep the prank going. Maybe it was just Bob Saget….
On this episode of “Where Are They Now?”, we found this fun interview with Fun/Ridiculously Dull Bobby!
It’s Christmas time in NYC! That means we’ve got Christmas cookies, ugly naked guy’s Christmas balls, presents that can be purchased from the gas station, and a tropical themed Christmas party. Tis the season!
This episode is called… Two of Them Kissed Last Night. Wait, that’s not right. It’s The One with Betty, Neil and…. Lulie. Ross and Rachel kissed, Ross is an idiot and makes a pro/con list (great for deciding where to go to college, not so much on girlfriends), Rachel finds it, and it’s a whole thing. We see the beginning of Ross’ obsessive behavior. Chandler gets a 1mb computer to store this single word document and feels the pain of pre-wifi printing. Oh yeah, and Monica tries to make Mockolate work.
If you’re interested, here are the lyrics to “Two of them Kissed Last Night”.
I found this fun article about Monica’s best food moments. Mockolate made number 9 haha!
Have you ever been in a Julie/Rachel situation? Have you had people “Contact Your DM’s”, as the kids say? 😛
Also, most importantly, what’s your Wine/Oreo combo with your besties?
Monica mysteriously has cat toys, and we talk about our own Fluffy Meowington (Mr. Fluffy, Ashley’s favorite cat visitor).
Our Favorite Rachel Monologue!
Ross? Hi, it’s Rachel. I’m just calling to say that everything’s fine and I’m really happy for you, and your cat… who, by the way, I think you should name Michael. And, you see there I’m thinking of names, so obviously I am over you. I…am over…you, and that, my friend, is what they call closure.
